Week 8, Tuesday May 22nd: Mini-briefs are due. These should include an in-depth outline of the policy problem and outlines of the potential solutions. Bring two hard copies to class.
These mini briefs should be a clear and in-depth look at your policy and include all the sections you expect to include in the final brief (see below). While you do not have to have every section fleshed-out, you should at least have a general outline with some depth and some ideas of where you're going. Remember to keep it at the right scale to address the problem. Think about how you are going to get buy-in, or encourage people who might otherwise oppose the policy to agree, or at last actively participate, in it. Know the other policies that might influence or provide a background to yours. Note the various policies that might address your problem, and justify why you are picking the policy you are.
This should be about 5 pages long. Feel free to include any visuals or other materials you intent to use in the final brief.
